Zavee Q&A/Can I Use A Debit Card on Zavee?
Of course! You can register and use any card with the name or logo of one of the major card brands: Visa, American Express, Master Card or Discover.
There is one wrinkle, which I hope we can iron out in the near future: As you know, you can use your debit card either by signing your name (signature debit) or by entering your PIN on a numeric pad (PIN debit). Zavee can handle signature debit transactions (including transactions where you aren't required to sign). However, for technical reasons Zavee is not currently able to access data from PIN debit transactions.
So, if you use your debit card for a signature transaction at a Zavee merchant, your transaction will be recorded, your rewards will be credited and you will be eligible to write a review. But if you use your debit card for a PIN transaction we aren't currently able to record the transaction, credit your rewards or accept your review.
We are working on this issue and will let everyone know as soon as we have solved it. In the meantime, why not do what we at Zavee do: use you debit card as if it were a credit card. Sign your name (if required) and leave the PIN pad alone. The merchant will get paid just as quickly, and you will get full credit for your Zavee purchase.
